TIEFSCHWARZ ’Fire it Out’ EP on Watergate Records

As an integral part of the Watergate family, it is not altogether surprising to see Tiefschwarz making an appearance on Watergate Records. For the lead track, ‘Fire It Out‘, Ali and Basti decided to partner with the talents of Watergate resident Ruede Hagelstein: Deep and sinuous, the composition blends Tiefschwarz‘s distinctive, synth-y character with percussive grooves. The most interesting yet ironic thing about Premiesku‘s recent release on Vakant Records, ‘Pe Dos’, is that the three tracks on the EP are reworked, random accidents born during their live shows. ‘Organised randomness‘ as Livio, Roby and George say. On 78 minutes playtime, Swedish DJ and producer, Sanna, known as ‘La Fleur‘, showcases her full potential of intuitive mixing and her meticulous, on-the-spot feeling for sound. As one of the Watergate label‘s recent additions, the 16th compilation proves her talent through an atmospheric selection ranging from deep and moony sounds to electronic old-school character vibes. With her residency at Watergate up and running and known for her versatility blending both house and techno as well as classic and futuristic, we are happy that Berlin‘s dance music scene has found yet another protagonist to look out for. We‘d like to introduce Berlin-based record label Stil vor Talent (SVT), founded by renowned producer Oliver Koletzki in 2005. With far over 100 releases in the past 9 years, we‘d like to highlight three of their recent releases: Niconé‘s first solo full-length on Stil vor Talent, ‘Let Love Begin‘ (SVT112), that captivates the listener with a touch of playfulness and his distinct vision of contemporary house; Kellerkind‘s release, ‘Music is a Miracle‘ (SVT115), in which the soulful producer showcases his unique interpretation of house music; and Niko Schwind‘s versatility of elegantly reduced grooves and vocal-melodies on SVT129, ‘Grippin‘ World‘.
